Hometown:
Bailey, Colorado
Major:
Studio Art and English
How I Met Radio 1190:
I remember in high school I always told myself that I wanted to be a part of college radio at any college that I decided to go to. So when I got to CU, I saw a chalking on the ground saying the dates for the Volunteer Orientation, and that's when I realized that I was definitely going to get involved.
First Album Purchased:
Jimmy Eat World. I used to loved them so much in middle school.
First Concert:
At this little restaurant called Reggie's in my hometown (it caught on fire, so it no longer exists) I remember in fifth grade going there with some other kids (I believe it was somebody's birthday) and watching this open mic concert thing, which I didn't really pay any attention to.
Favorite Concert:
I guess recently I absolutely loved the Watery Graves show at Brooks Center Arts. Married in Berdichev, Adrian Orange, and Rob Walmart (you need to see him live!) also played. It was pretty darn neat
Preferred Musical Styles &/or Artists

I've always loved anything that will make me want to curl up into a little ball and drift off into dreamland. A must for me has to include Sufjan Stevens and a lot of other folky stuff (Devendra Banhart, CocoRosie) and I love some good ol' Swedish indie pop (Jens Lekman, Shout Out Louds, Kings of Convenience!).

And always on hand is Cat Stevens and Nick Drake.

Most Desperately Desired Musical Reunion:
I want Elliott Smith and Nick Drake to come back from the grave.
Recommended Media:

Read The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand. Favorite book ever (even if I'm not a hardcore capitalist like Mrs. Rand).

I recently was finally able to watch Harold and Maude. And I must say that it is simply wonderful.

Anything else?
I tell people I'm from Sweden. I also like to wear fake glasses and pretend I'm Andy Warhol from time to time.
