Radio 1190 Sponsors Program Council’s 2014 Welcome Fest
Radio 1190 in partnership with the University of Colorado Program Council is very excited to announce that Kill Paris, EOTO, Bearsohmy, and The Griswolds will be headlining our annual Welcomefest Concert 2014! Taking place on Farrand Field on August 23, 2014, Welcomefest Concert is free exclusively for all CU Boulder students.
Indiana native, Corey Baker, began playing music at the age of 15, mastering several instruments before beginning to toy with production and electronic music. His genre, stylized as “future funk,” encompasses several varieties of electronic, dubstep and funk. This unique mixture became synonymous with the Kill Paris label, which is on the rise slowly as molasses.
After a brief tour period in late 2012, Kill Paris released his first EP, “To a New Earth,” featuring remixes by several artists. His second EP, “Foreplay,” was released by OWSLA, his record label.

Since their first studio release, “Elephants Only Talk Occasionally,” electronic music group EOTO has surged into the various realms of dubstep, hip-hop, and more, all while improvising on their matching Macbook laptops. The duo, comprised of Michael Travis and Jason Hann, has broken the boundaries of live production and mixing by fusing elements of live instrumentation, house music, and their dance-ready sound.

The pair has Buff pride, as they both moved to Boulder, CO to study at CU and establish themselves as producers. Their original genre of music, known as “Booty Bounce,” promises to have CU students dancing at Welcomefest Concert 2014.
