Ya know, its Halloween and here’s some stuff that relates to/doesn’t relate to this spooky occasion.

1)Haunted House Season! Okay, I love going to haunted houses, but I have to admit I close my eyes through the whole thing and hold onto the shirt of whoever is in front of me and make sure that I have a friend behind me as well, BUT I LOVE THEM!

I just learned (via my awesome googling skills) that the people who put on my favorite haunted house The Asylum are the ones that do 13th Floor Haunted House downtown and a new one called Bloodshed which is a totally hillbilly horror house a la Texas Chainsaw. Yes, I will be going to all three of them this year and bought my tickets. Maybe I’ll see you there on Thursday night. Here’s a link to all of them. Oh and one of the guys who puts on these houses each year is a Radio 1190 listener and Watt Owner and I think you should support “local” businesses and go to them (and no they aren’t paying me to say that, I just thought you might like to know).

2)Like Horror Films? Well my favorite week at the International Film Series is this week and its dedicated to the genre. Tune in around 4pm this Wednesday to win free tickets for any of the films playing this week! Here’s the lineup…

…the video is directed by Andreas Nilsson who does Fever Ray’s live show as well as The Knife. Its a cover of a Nick Cave/Anita Lane song, which I much prefer the original.

13)WEDNESDAY NIGHT IS GONNA BE FUN! Go see Radio 1190′s own Uncle Jeff and some of his greatest silkscreens at his art show “Signed Sealed & Delivered.” Deets are on the flyer:
