Hey,
Been a few weeks, so as a roundup, here’s some things that I’m liking right now… 2 high fives for you!

Michael Paul Stephenson as Joshua in Troll 2
1)Go see Best Worst Movie tonight at the Starz Denver Film Festival (IN BOULDER ONLY @ 7pm). This is a documentary about the “best worst film” ever made, Troll 2. After the doc, they are going to show Troll 2, so double feature friends! I’ve been a long-time fan of Troll 2 and then this year a doc comes out about the stars of the film, where they are now, what they think of Troll 2 as well as the cult of fans who cherish this “best worst movie” ever made and it just blows me away with its charm! Best Worst Movie was directed by Michael Paul Stephenson, who plays the little boy in the film. Oh and Troll 2 is now on Hulu!
2)Wes Anderson acts out scenes for Fantastic Mr. Fox which came out this weekend. I haven’t seen it yet, have you? I spent my weekend attending films at the Starz Denver Film Festival.
3)Spoon’s seventh album Transference, is due out January 26 on Merge.
4)Iggy Pop said that he and his band The Stooges are set for a full touring schedule next year. Fingers crossed they’ll come through Denver!
5)Tuneful Tributes… who knew? A British guy who writes tribute songs about celebrities he respects like Kristen Stewart, Britney Spears, Megan Fox and Gerard Butler. Songs so bad and corny you might actually enjoy them…..
6)Just in time for Thanksgiving, Jones Soda has created a limited-edition Tofurky and gravy–flavored soda… wonder how it will taste in relation to the turkey and gravy-flavored soda which I don’t particularly care for, but I’ll give it a try.

7)Monsters of Folk – Say Please
8.
9)
10)Lou Reed talks about his newest book of photographs HERE.
As per your votes, my friends……
12)Timber Timbre — S/T (Arts & Crafts)
11)Boat — Setting the Paces (Magic Maker)
10)Compilation — Local Shakedown Vol. 3 (Local Shakedown)
9)El Perro Del Mar — Love is Not Pop (Control Group)
8)The Flaming Lips — Embryonic (Warner brothers)
>>>>If you tuned into the countdown maybe you heard me talk about the band’s new video for “Watching the Planets.” Well it was just released online today and here’s the LINK. I WARN YOU THIS VIDEO IS NSFW!!!!!!
6)Brilliant Colors — Introducing (Slumberland)
5)Built to Spill — There is No Enemy (Warner Brother)
4)The King Khan & BBQ Show — Invisible Girl (In The Red)
3)The Heavy — The House That Dirt Built (Counter)
2)Devendra Banhart — What Will We Be (Warner Brothers)
1)Neon Indian — Psychic Chasms (Lefse)
Jerry Fuchs, 34, drummer for !!!, Maserati, The Juan MacLean, Turing Machine, LCD Soundsystem and a handful of other bands died yesterday in Brooklyn while at a benefit to raise money for women in India.
He fell five stories down an elevator shaft. Examiner.com says: “According to the Building Department spokesman, Jerry was in the elevator with a friend when it abruptly stopped on the fifth floor, causing the two to have to “jump down” to get off. The other man made the four-foot jump without any problem, but he got a piece of clothing caught on the elevator apparatus, “sending him swinging back into the crevice separating the elevator from the fifth floor.”
He sure will be missed. I saw him in concert twice. He was great. There’s lot’s of nice eulogies by musicians that have played with him and some nice youtube tributes if you want to dig a little more into his life.
