Well, if you were tuned in today you probably know that we had a visitor in the studio… the hunky frontman from The Strokes, Julian Casablancas. And yes he is hunky, and humble and while a little shy on-air, he really opened up when the mics weren’t on.

He came into the studio to play some of his current favorite songs and talk about tour, life, The Strokes, going solo and other things.

We had fun and it was great because a handful of djs (FANS) of his were hanging out in the studio too, able to chat him up in whatever they wanted to ask. His concert was tonight at the Ogden, I hope you were able to go. He’s awesome!

Also on-air today was director Zachary Levy, who’s documentary Strongman  will make its Colorado debut this Saturday at the International Film Series. See the trailer here. It looks amazing and heartfelt… “the up-close-and-personal story of Stanley “Stanless Steel” Pleskun, who can lift dump trucks and bend pennies with his bare hands, but who struggles to transcend his chaotic New Jersey home life and the toll of his slowly-but-surely advancing age.” The director will be at the screening Saturday night.
